WHAT’s that about, you’re wondering? Well, Mogs has this thing about hand lotion, where if she’s scraped her knee or bumped her head, she thinks that hand lotion is the balm to make it all better. She gives us her cute little pout, and asks us to reach up to the bathroom counter and get her a little bit of lotion.
RECENTLY our friend John gave Mogs “Smoosh Bush,” a little squeezable George Bush stress-reducer. I know we shouldn’t, but we allowed her to take little nips out of it. When she really got going, she did the Mike Tyson thing and bit W’s ear off. She then got all worried and made us get some hand lotion to put on the space where his ear had been.
IN our house, the official line on Bush is that he’s “a little bit irritating to Mama and Daddy.” To say anything more to a 22-month old would seem to be overkill. (But we did put the bitten-up George Bush stress-reducer into the trash. Take that!)
“In our house, the official line on Bush is that he’s ‘a little bit irritating…’” That is HILARIOUS and matches our sentiments exactly. I laughed out loud when reading this! My hubby and I have to be very careful about what we discuss in front of Claire, because she will repeat it (and with amazingly good detail) to anyone, including her grandparents who happen to have the opposite beliefs we do on some major issues.
